Domestic Violence Intervention Program for the Female Offender

Schedule an Appointment

Female domestic violence offenders are generally expected to attend psycho-educational groups. These are available at several different times for the convenience of the attendee. Each session is an educational review of a wide range of topics consistent with the primary issues related to domestic violence as referenced in the NH Batterers Intervention Standards as prepared by the Batterers Intervention Sub-Committee of the New Hampshire's Governor's Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence. While it is understood that some females do not have pagorative control of their environment, they are assisted in identifying and developing the areas of themselves they can influence and control related to domestic violence. In specific instances, women are provided with individual education due either to circumstances that prohibit meaningful group participation or co-occuring issues of trauma. When trauma exists treatment may also be offered.
